Writing and distributing articles on the web is a good way to get your name out there and gain some linking benefit as well. Not familiar with article submission, marketing, and distribution? Read on…
When your articles are out there, every day, many people all over the world may read them, see your URL and and potentially… contact you. How would you like some of the same free advertising benefit? Your articles could be picked up by thousands of sites, almost overnight. If they are well written, popular and give some great advice, they could get to that number very quickly.
Just like on your site, you’ll also want to use your keyword phrases in your articles. How many should you use and how many times each? Probably three to four phrases and then use them three times each in the article. In addition, make sure your articles are at least 500 words. Anything less makes it look like the article lacks substance.
How many Articles Do I Write? When and Where do they End Up?
There are many theories on this. Some say write one article a week, some say ten a month, others say get as many out as you can. The key here is to just have a consistent level of output, and distribute them regularly. I would recommend one a week for three months and then see what happens.
The goal is to make sure they end up on sites in your industry that have a high page rank or have lots of users. This way, you are getting maximum exposure and hopefully, lots of inquiries or new business
The good thing about articles is you can use them for lots of different reasons; you can put them on your site, on a Free Articles page, re-purpose them for blogs, take a whole bunch of them and create an e-book
